World Book Day 2022
We had a truly wonderful day celebrating World Book Day this year. We had our first whole-school assembly for quite a while so it was lovely to have all the children together again - they looked fantastic in their t-shirts. The children thoroughly enjoyed their workshops with 'Bookman' who made an appearance in the morning assembly and told the children about his superpower, which is to know every single book ever written. We even got a demonstration of his flying ability!

World Book Day was a little different this year with many of you celebrating at home. The children made some wonderful 'Book in a Box' creations.

World Book Day - Thursday 7th March 2019
The children have excelled themselves once again this year with their tremendous Books in a Box.
Our judge, Dave, had a very difficult job in choosing the winners as they were so creative and decorative and clearly represented the story or book the children chose.
Well Done to everyone who was able to take part. Winners to be announced in Celebration Assembly tomorrow.

World Book Day - Thursday 1st March 2018
On Thursday 3rd March 2017, Hill Top Primary School celebrated World Book Day.
Children were asked to dress up as their favourite book character and wow did they do it well! From Mary Poppins, to the Mad Hare from Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter to Gangsta Granny and many more amazing costumes.
The children across the whole school were mixed up and grouped to have a book read from a different adult in school in every spare part of the building.
Once back in their classroom, many activities were planned around books, stories and poems.
