In the weeks after Christmas each year group shared with us some of the things that were going on in class.
Year 2 told us all about the Fire of London and Samuel Pepys. They gave a great rendition of
'London's Burning'
The title of Year 4's assembly was 'What the Romans did for us.' It was very informative. They even invented takeaways!!
What a treat!
Year 6 shared all the different styles of poetry they have been writing. They even put some to music.
To celebrate World Book Day Reception went on an adventure around the world.
Year 5 based their assembly on work done in Science and Music. We now know all about the Earth, Sun and Moon. We even had original compositions linked to the 1969 moon landing.
Year 3's theme was 'Make Someone Happy' to coincide with Red Nose Day. They played their recorders, showed pictures and talked about the work of Comic Relief.
Finally, it was the turn of Year 1. The children shared work on favourite toys, old fashioned toys and the patron saints and emblems of Wales and Ireland. They sang two lovely songs to us. We really liked 'Cockles ansd Mussels'
